Privacy policy
What information Critical Supply collects, why, and how it is used.
Draft, not legal advice. This page is a placeholder drafted for the site build. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be relied on as a binding privacy policy until it has been. Replace this notice once reviewed.
Information collected
Creating an account collects a name, email address and password. The print book is bought through Amazon, which collects its own shipping details separately from this site. Payment card details for online access are collected and processed entirely by the checkout provider; this site never receives or stores them.
How it is used
Account details are used to provide the online reader, remember reading progress and saved case studies, and process orders. Email addresses are used for account-related messages, and for occasional new-chapter announcements only if the newsletter checkbox was selected at sign-up.
Who it is shared with
Payment information is shared only with the checkout and payment provider needed to process a purchase. Shipping details are shared only with the courier used to deliver a print order. Account data is not sold, and is not shared with advertisers.
Data retention
Account data is kept while the account remains active. A request to close an account and delete associated personal data can be made through the contact page.
Cookies and analytics
The site may use essential cookies to keep a visitor signed in, and basic analytics to understand which pages are used. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify an individual visitor.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request to access or delete personal data, can be sent through the contact form.
